Animals

On April 9th, the Hammy Helps crew volunteered with the Butler County and Beaver County Humane Societies. Our dedicated team spent the day cleaning and organizing, as well as giving our friends well deserved playtime and cuddles. The day ended on a PURRfect note, as we donated $600 worth of wishlist items to help feed and care for our furry friends!

The Environment

On June 19th, Hammy Helps joined Hollow Oak Land Trust for a day of trail development and stewardship. We had the opportunity to spend the day clearing brush, removing debris, and creating safe trails for walking, hiking, and biking. Trail stewardship improves air and water quality, helps protect wildlife habitats, and gives local families the opportunity to enjoy and interact with nature. At cellhelmet, we pride ourselves on being trailblazers - literally!

Foster Kittens

Meet Kenzo, our Director of Foster Relations! Kenzo was around 3 weeks old and all alone when he was rescued from a construction site by Nose2Tail Cat Rescue. Due to his size and age, he needed round the clock care, feeding, and love. Luckily, the Hammy Helps crew was ready and willing to do all of the above! Kenzo joined us at the office every day, putting in long hours snuggling, playing, snacking, and snoozing. After 7 short weeks of hard work, he became the first graduate of our foster program and went on to find his furever home. Although we miss him very much, we are so grateful to him for being our first foster kitty and look forward to welcoming his successors!

Foster Families

For the month of December 2019, cellhelmet hosted a placement bag drive for the Foster Love Project, an area resource center for kids in foster care. Many kids arrive at their new homes with only a trash bag packed with a few belongings. The Foster Love Project works to eliminate those trash bags and let kids transitioning to new homes know that neither they OR their belongings are disposable. The Hammy Helps Crew collected items like clothing, books, blankets, and toiletries and spent an evening packing placement bags to provide to local agencies so area kids would have a bag full of new items to call their very own. It was our great honor and pleasure to support such a worthy cause!

Do you have an organization that's near and dear to your heart and think could use some helping hands? Let us know! We are always open to suggestions.
